since 2015 we have been listening to the issues that working artists face day-to-day. Our first hand experience of working with the artists directly allows us to gather a pool of real-life, unfiltered case studies of artists' individual challenges; from how they support/finance their practice to how they overcome the hurdles in their career.
each of our projects are designed to create real-life, in situ learning experiences for artists, regardless of the shape a project takes.
The Artist Support Centre works to create an empathetic and healthier arts community with more resilient creative individuals working as self-sustainable artists.
a collection of projects created with TASC's unique approach since 2015
An exhibition and programme of talks focussed on the challenges that artists face. Topics include professionalism, art therapy and making the most of opportunities. The exhibition showcased artists who have worked with TASC in the past, alongside art students and recent graduates.
Our re-imagining of the traditional artist talk format using our own approach to knowledge and experience sharing. Each artist talk is followed by a challenging group discussion, facilitated by TASC, where a flat hierarchy is created, allowing all participants to have an equal platform.
